Reading Calendar
- Why should children read every day? Reading daily helps to reinforce skills children have learned. It also helps build confidence, so children feel good about tackling harder texts. Children know – the more they read, the better they get!
- At the beginning of each month your child will receive a new reading calendar as a tool to track the amount of time read each day. Please make sure to initial the calendar when your child reads independently, and to or with a family member.
Math Fact Fluency
Why do we need to know our facts quickly? Because they’re important in everyday life, not to mention when learning two digit addition and subtraction, and other higher forms of math. So, encourage your child to practice at home with his/her flashcards! Keep the flashcards in a safe, accessible place.
